What's New in Gynger: December 2024
This month, we’ve focused our efforts on building the tools that will help you grow even faster in 2025.
Introducing the Vendor API, supporting deeper, faster integrations with your CRM and opening new pathways to embedded financing with the ‘Pay with Gynger’ checkout widget.
In this update, you’ll learn more about the API, the use cases it supports, the documentation to help you along the way, and more details on the checkout widget.
Watch our video recap or read on for a full breakdown.
Vendor API Use Cases
The Vendor API supports 3 key use cases:
- Sync Accounts from your CRM and run pre-qualification. You can sync CRM accounts and run credit pre-qualification checks prior to offering them payment terms. Pre-qualification statuses of accounts are shown to users within the Gynger vendor app and can also be synced back into corresponding CRM records.
- Get real-time credit approval and payment status updates. Track your customers' progress and take necessary actions when required from within your CRM accounting systems by subscribing to webhook events. You’ll receive real-time updates on customer account approvals and status changes on their payment terms offers.
- Support the brand new ‘Pay with Gynger’ checkout widget. You can embed a ’Pay with Gynger’ widget within online checkout pages, and allow clients to pay their bills with flexible payment terms.
Vendor API Hub
You can access everything related to the new API through your dashboard in Settings. Once in Settings, you’ll find a new ‘API’ tab in the menu items along the top. On the API tab, you can easily access documentation and manage your API keys.
Vendor API Documentation and Sandbox
To ensure you’re set up for success with the API, we’ve created a full set of documentation detailing:
- Getting started
- How to get your API keys
- Working with the checkout widget
- Testing
- Subscribing to events
To support you with building and testing when using the Gynger API, we have also launched a fully functional sandbox.
The sandbox offers pre-created test data, provides you with workflows that you can use to advance account statuses or offer statuses, and provides you with certain error-handling use cases.
You can access the documentation and sandbox from your API tab in Settings where you’ll see a link to ‘Visit API Documentation’.
Vendor API Keys
You can manage and create your API keys in Settings on the API tab. On the API page, you can view details for both the secret key and public key.
The secret key is required to access and work with the Gynger API.
The public key is needed to initialize and use the Gynger checkout widget.
The documentation provides more details for working with the API keys.
‘Pay with Gynger’ Checkout Widget
Powered by the API, the new checkout widget brings embedded financing directly to your website.
With it, you can integrate a ‘pay with Gynger’ button on your website or within your checkout flow to offer flexible terms to your customers at the time of purchase. Once clicked, it displays the payment terms available to the customer. The payment term options and subsidy percentage that are presented align with the terms already defined in your Vendor App settings.
The documentation covers more details on customization and setup. For example, the button is customizable coming in 3 sizes and supporting both light and dark modes.
